Welcome to Shropshire Seniors

Our chair Ann Wilde explains what we do and where we meet near you.

As the new Chair of Shropshire Seniors I would firstly like to publically thank all the Trustees for their support. I would also like to thank the office staff for going over and above to assist me in my new role.

I believe Shropshire Seniors is more important today than when it was first founded some ten years ago. The reason being there are a great many changes taking place particularly in Adult Social Care. None of us like change but unfortunately financial constraints necessitate what is happening.

We are here to listen to your concerns and it is our remit to put these concerns to the people responsible for the changes and attempt to get the best possible outcome for Shropshire Seniors.

We have Forums in Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury and Wem & Whitchurch. Everyone is welcome to go along to one of the meetings. Forums usually invite speakers on various subjects. It is also an opportunity for you to speak about your concerns and be listened to. We also try to combat loneliness and isolation by hosting other events around the county.

All information about what is happening is in the Forum Magazine, which is bi-monthly and free. To receive the magazine by email simply email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. – or if you would prefer the magazine posted to you just let us have your name and address. You can email us, you can telephone us on 01743 244640 or you can write to us at Shropshire Seniors, 5 Swan Hill Court, Shrewsbury, SY1 1NP.

I would encourage you to go along to one of our meetings to see what we are all about. You will receive a warm welcome. Together we can make a difference.

I look forward to hearing from you.
